Today we are going to talk about the biggest fear we humans have-public speaking.

Do you have stage fright? Have you been in a meeting at work and you had an idea, but didn’t say anything due to your fear? Were you at a mixer or any social event and wanted to talk to someone; however, you were too afraid to talk to them? If the answer is yes, then you are not alone. Most of the people in the world suffer from the same afflication.

Public speaking and speaking in social arenas are the biggest fear we humans have, death is second. This fear prevents us from moving forward in our lives. If you want to overcome this fear, then you have to take action. I did, and it was the best descision I ever made.

I was very shy, and didn’t really like talking to people. In fact, I got along better with dogs. I was afraid I would be laugh at or some crazy reason I would die if I talked to people, especially in school. I was always the kid who loved to sit in the back of the class; so the teacher wouldn’t call on me. In college, I took a class in semantics instead of speech. However, within time I knew if I wanted to succeed I would have to overcome my fear.

I found my way to an organization that open my life to new possiblities. The organization is called Toastmaster, and has been around since the early 20s. Without this organization, I would not have the courage to produce and host my own internet radio show.

The link below is my show called-DON’T GET LEFT IN THE DUST. Show 3 is my interview with Lance Miller, the 2005 World Champion Public Speaker. Listen to it, and take action to overcome your biggest fear.
